 The White Bus

Created in September 2013

At the start of summer 2013 I was struck suddenly with an urge to abandon life as I knew it and trek into the Unknown. Scholars of mythology and literature alike label such urges as a hero's "Call to Adventure." (Memoir to come.)

Before I knew it I happened upon this dear 1971 Volkswagen Type II Vanagon Camper Microbus. I purchased it, completely gut the interior and, with the help of my dear friend and carpenter extraordinaire Vasili Kyriacou, designed and built this interior cabinetry.

The cabinetry was designed around my need to have my instrument with me while traveling. A solar panel on the roof connected to a marine battery in the back and on to a 12V power inverter. Thus, my Casio px-330, and therefore my music, was powered by the sun.
